Central Library

The library is open from 8.00.a.m to 7.00.p.m on all weekdays.

Library stands as an epitome of intellectual elegance and a repository of technical education, in particular, Engineering and Technology. Our Library is functioning in a building which acquires an area of 403.72 Sq.mt and it could accommodate around 120 people with its seating capacity. In addition to the central library, there are departmental libraries in each department, which borrows books from the main library which would enable them a quick reference. The library has more than 27069 volumes of books on 7947 titles covering all disciplines of engineering and technology, science & humanities and management studies.

The library has an extensive collection of 632 back volumes of journals and magazine and 8104 non-book materials which includes 1322 education oriented CDs, audio, video cassettes, NPTEL videos, E-books and monographs. Anna University previous years question papers from the year 2003 to the current year are always kept ready for students’ further reference.

The library is being subscribed with more scholarly journals under the AICTE INDEST Consortium. The library also caters on-line access to a large number of full-text journals from IEEE, ASME, ASCE, Elsevier and J-Gate (JSMS); Apart from the e-journals, the library has been subscribed with 125 print hard-copy versions of the journals from various publishers. Hence our library serves as a perfect spot for every kind of studier and kindles the young minds with vibrating the ideas.
