Electrical Machines Laboratory

  • The Electrical Machines Laboratory is well-equipped with DC machines, AC machines and special machines. All available machines are having a set up bench with latest supporting measuring equipments.
  • Experiments based on machines such as load test, short circuit test, open circuit test, predetermine the efficiency and speed controls are performed in electrical machines  laboratory.

Control and Instrumentation Laboratory

  • Control and Instrumentation Laboratory is well equipped with a trainer kit and with MATLAB software to perform the experiments.
  • The instrumentation deals with both electrical parameters such as current, voltage, resistance, inductance, capacitance, power, power factor and non-electrical parameters such as pressure, displacement and strain.
  • The control system is based on the simulation of linear and non linear characteristics of AC and DC machines with open loop and closed loop system.

Power Electronics and Drives Laboratory

  • Power Electronics and Drives Laboratory is employed in applications ranging from few watts residential to several megawatts industrial systems and processes.
  • The objectives of this laboratory are converting and controlling the amplitude and direction of power flow to meet the load requirements.
  • Students will be able to design, simulate, develop and analyze the performance of various power electronic converters including AC/AC converters, AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters and DC/AC converters.
