Programme Educational Objectives

PEO 1: To provide strong foundation in basic science, mathematics, engineering and experimentation skill to comprehend the manufacturing processes providing practical and innovative solutions.

PEO 2: To enrich knowledge on theory and practices in the field of Fashion Technology along with the allied areas to manage apparel industry upholding techno-economic solutions to the problems with an abreast to emerging technology.

PEO 3: To imbibe management, leadership and team building skills among the graduates for shaping them as professional and entrepreneur in the discipline of Fashion Technology.

 

Programme Outcomes

Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering in apparel design and production process.

Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review literature and critically analyze complex technological problems in the apparel industry to reach substantial conclusion.

Design/Development of solutions: Design solutions for complex technological problems, develop system and components of processes with due consideration given to public health, safety, cultural, societal and environmental factors.

Conduct investigations of complex problems: Acquire research based skill to conduct experiments/investigations and interpret data with reference to systems and standard to provide valid conclusion to technological problem in apparel industry.

Modern tool usage: Acquire knowledge to use modern design and engineering tools for effective utilization of resources in complex engineering activities for apparel process and product development.

The engineer and society: Apply reasoning gained through the contextual knowledge to analyze societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to technological engineering practice.

Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of sustainable development and need of engineering solutions in societal and technological contexts.

Ethics: Commitment to implement professional and ethical values in apparel industry.

Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual and as a team leader in diverse team throughout the apparel sector.

Communication: Communicate effectively in written, oral and illustrative presentation on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and society at large in a clear precise manner.

Project management: Demonstrate knowledge, and skill for understanding engineering with management principles as a member and team leader in the areas of designing, manufacturing, marketing and entrepreneurship in multi-disciplinary environments.

Life-long learning: Recognize the need for the ability to take-part in life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change in the apparel field.

PSO 1: To design and develop apparel products using creative concepts and techniques to meet the diversified needs of the apparel industry.

PSO 2: To apply the apparel domain concepts in apparel manufacturing to provide techno-economic solutions for the real time problems to meet industry requirements with efficient financial and managerial skills.
